Pre-Order Policy

This Pre-Order Policy applies to any Stork & Sun product sold on storkandsun.com that is marked as a "Pre-Order" item at the time of purchase. By placing a pre-order, you agree to the terms below. Pre-orders are subject to applicable U.S. consumer protection laws, including the FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 435).

1. What is a Pre-Order?

A pre-order is an advance purchase of a product that is not yet available for immediate shipment. Pre-order items are clearly labeled on the product page with a "Pre-Order" badge and an estimated ship date. By placing a pre-order, you are reserving inventory from an upcoming production run.

2. Pre-Order Pricing

Pre-order items are offered at a 15% discount off the standard retail price as a thank-you for ordering in advance. The discount is automatically reflected in the price shown on the pre-order product page. The pre-order price is final and will not be adjusted to match later promotions or standard pricing changes.

3. Payment

Pre-orders are charged in full at the time you place your order. We accept the same payment methods as standard orders (credit and debit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other methods available at checkout). We do not offer split payments or deposit-only pre-orders at this time.

4. Estimated Ship Date

The estimated ship date shown on each pre-order product page is our good-faith estimate based on current manufacturing and freight timelines. Our production cycle is approximately 2 weeks of manufacturing followed by 6 to 8 weeks of ocean freight to our U.S. fulfillment center (AOA Products, Sylvania, OH). Once inventory arrives at the fulfillment center, orders are picked, packed, and shipped within 3 business days.

5. Shipping Delays and Your Right to Cancel

If we are unable to ship your pre-order by the estimated ship date, we will notify you by email with a revised ship date and offer you the option to (a) consent to the new ship date, or (b) cancel your order for a full refund. If we do not receive a response within 30 days, we will automatically cancel your order and issue a full refund to your original payment method, in accordance with the FTC Mail Order Rule.

6. Cancellations by You

You may cancel a pre-order at any time before it ships by emailing hello@storkandsun.com with your order number. Cancellations requested before the order ships will receive a full refund to the original payment method within 7 business days. Once your pre-order has shipped, it is treated as a standard order and is subject to our regular Refund Policy.

7. Refunds

Refunds for cancelled pre-orders are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days of cancellation. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the refund may take an additional 3 to 10 business days to appear on your statement. You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is processed.

8. Our Right to Cancel

We reserve the right to cancel any pre-order in cases including, but not limited to, product discontinuation, significant supply chain disruption, manufacturing defects discovered before shipment, suspected fraud, or pricing errors. If we cancel your pre-order, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method within 7 business days and an email explaining the cancellation.

9. Inventory and Allocation

Pre-order quantities are limited. Once the available pre-order allocation is reached, the pre-order option will be removed from the product page and the item will be marked sold out until the next production run is scheduled. Orders are filled in the order they are received.
