Frequently Asked Questions — Stork & Sun PFAS-Free Baby Wipes
You have questions. We have answers. And we believe every parent deserves complete transparency about what goes on their baby's skin.
PFAS & SAFETY
PFAS — per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances — are a group of synthetic chemicals used in thousands of consumer products. They're called "forever chemicals" because they don't break down in the environment or in the human body. They accumulate over time and have been linked to serious health concerns including immune system disruption, hormonal interference, and developmental issues in children. The alarming reality: PFAS have been detected in baby wipes sold by some of the most trusted names in baby care. Consumer Reports tested 15 major brands. Several showed concerning results. Kimberly-Clark, maker of Huggies, is facing active PFAS lawsuits. Kirkland wipes have been named in legal action.
Yes. Consumer Reports and independent researchers have tested multiple major baby wipe brands and found PFAS chemicals present. This is not a theoretical concern — it is an active and documented issue with ongoing legal action against major manufacturers.
We built Stork & Sun specifically because we couldn't find a baby wipe we trusted. That's not marketing language. That's why this brand exists.
Yes — completely. Stork & Sun wipes contain no PFAS chemicals of any kind. This isn't a claim we make lightly. Our wipes have been third-party tested by Progressive GMP Labs under USP guidelines. Our full Certificate of Analysis is publicly available at storkandsun.com/pages/test-results — no request required, no gating, just transparency.
We don't ask you to take our word for it. Our Certificate of Analysis from Progressive GMP Labs is available at storkandsun.com/pages/test-results. You can read the full lab report yourself. We believe every parent has the right to verify what goes on their baby's skin — and we make that easy.
Active lawsuits and investigations have named Kimberly-Clark (Huggies), Kirkland (Costco), and other major manufacturers. We recommend reviewing Consumer Reports' baby wipe testing coverage and checking the ingredient lists on any wipe you currently use. If you see ingredients you can't identify or pronounce, that's worth investigating.
The baby wipe industry has historically operated with minimal regulatory oversight on chemical ingredients. Brands are not legally required to test for PFAS specifically. The result is that many manufacturers use preservative and antimicrobial systems that haven't been scrutinized at the ingredient level — until now. Parental pressure and legal action are forcing change. Stork & Sun was built ahead of that curve.
Yes. We have already submitted to the EWG VERIFIED program and are actively working through the certification process. We are also in the process of reformulating to meet EWG's strict ingredient criteria. When we achieve EWG Verified status we will display it prominently on every product and on this page. We will never claim certification we haven't earned.

PRODUCT
Stork & Sun wipes are 7×8 inches — nearly double the surface area of standard baby wipes. Pampers and Huggies wipes measure approximately 6.7×6.7 inches. The extra size means one Stork & Sun wipe handles what typically requires three or four standard wipes. That's not a marketing claim — it's geometry.
Based on typical use — 4-5 diaper changes per day plus 3-4 surface wipes — one 60-count single pack lasts approximately 5-6 days. Our 6-pack (360 wipes) covers a full month. Our 18-pack (1080 wipes) covers approximately 90 days.
Every parent knows the moment — baby in one hand, wipe container in the other, and you need a wipe immediately. Standard flip-top containers require two hands to open. Our pop-top opens with a single thumb press. It's a small thing that makes an enormous difference at 3am during a blowout.
Yes. Our wipes are safe for both skin and surfaces — high chairs, counters, hands, faces, and diaper changes. One pack replaces multiple single-purpose wipes. That's the all-in-one design.
